Corporate Law

Corporate law is a branch of law that enters the field of commercial law, contains norms on issues such as the creation, merger, division, transfer, liquidation of trading companies, and examines the legal relations related to trading companies.

Corporate law is an area of commercial law, the main basis of which is the Turkish Commercial Law No. 6102 of 2011, which is an integral part of the Civil Code No. 4721 of 2001. Trade serves as a bridge between production and consumption. Given that economic activities incorporate a large number of elements such as production, exchange, consumption and division, it can be seen that they have a broader scope than commercial activities.

Since corporate law falls within the scope of commercial law, commercial cases fall under the duties of the Commercial Courts. Other branches of law such as commercial business law, corporate law, securities law, transportation law, capital market law, maritime trade law, intellectual property law, insurance law, competition law are also covered by commercial law.
